Community-based approach. EAI was created by a vast network of urban farmers and anti-hunger and food justice advocates in the city. The program is created and run by grassroots leaders who know unique communities and food issues best.

To contribute to sustainable food and income security in Uganda by deploying proven crop technologies.

To increase farmers yields and productivity in selected value chains.
To increase farmers’ knowledge in operation of machinery for large scale farming.
To increase farmers’ knowledge in crop disease identification and management.
To increase farmers’ access to quality planting materials.
To increase access to local and international markets.
To increase farmers’ knowledge on reducing post harvest loss.
