Mrs. Martha Osiro is a 2017 EA Acumen Fellow and co-founder of Health and Wellness Initiative Uganda. Prior to joining Enlight Institute as the Executive Director, she worked as a technical advisor to the Department of Emergency Medical Services- Ministry of Health (MoH) and as Project Coordinator for the Emergency Medical Systems Strengthening Project at the MOH in partnership with Malteser International. Before that, Martha worked as the Assistant Business Development Manager at AAR Healthcare Uganda where she was responsible for educating the public on issues of Health Prevention. Also, she was the Country Manager for Aga Khan University Hospitals Uganda for 4 Years. Martha was awarded the 2017 Rotarian Vocational Award that recognized her for her dedication to service and transformation of people’s lives in Uganda. Martha lives in Kampala, Uganda with her husband and two sons and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. from the University of Capetown, South Africa.
